We recommend weekly service for most residential pools. Southern Utah's heat, wind, and hard water can quickly affect water chemistry and equipment performance. Weekly visits help keep your water crystal clear, extend the life of your equipment, and catch small issues before they become expensive repairs.

  • Absolutely. We service both traditional chlorine pools and saltwater pools. Our technicians are experienced in maintaining salt systems, cleaning salt cells, monitoring water chemistry, and keeping your equipment operating efficiently. In fact, we are salt water experts and convert MANY pools to salt water.  We believe it is the BEST solution for residential pools in this challenging desert climate.

Yes. We repair and replace pumps, filters, heaters, automation systems, salt systems, valves, plumbing, and many other pool components. If something isn't working properly, we'll diagnose the issue and provide honest recommendations before any repairs are made.

Yes. Canyon Edge Pools offers professional leak detection services using specialized equipment to accurately locate plumbing and structural leaks while minimizing unnecessary digging or damage. If you suspect your pool is losing water, we can identify the source and perform the most effective repair.

Definitely. Green pools are one of our specialties. We'll diagnose the underlying cause, restore proper water chemistry, thoroughly clean the pool, and ensure your filtration system is operating correctly to return your pool to a clean, healthy condition.

No. As long as we have access to your backyard and equipment, you do not need to be home. We'll complete the scheduled service and send your digital report once we're finished.

Our service plans are designed to be transparent. Labor for weekly maintenance is separate from chemicals because every pool has different chemical demands depending on weather, usage, and water conditions. You only pay for the chemicals your pool actually needs.

Yes. Whether you're preparing for a party, opening your pool for the season, recovering from a storm, or simply need extra help, we offer one-time cleanings and specialty services in addition to recurring maintenance.

We proudly serve homeowners throughout the greater St. George area, including Washington, Santa Clara, Ivins, and parts of Hurricane.

The frequency depends on your filter type, pool usage, and environmental conditions.

As a general guideline, cartridge filters should be cleaned every 6 months.

Sand filters should be backwashed as needed (we typically do 1 month in the winter and 2 weeks in the summer) and receive a deep cleaning at least every 5 years.

A dirty filter reduces circulation, makes it harder to maintain water chemistry, and puts unnecessary strain on your pool equipment. During our weekly service visits, we monitor your filter's condition and let you know when it's time for maintenance. We look for things like high pressure, low return volume, or auto vacuums not moving.

Most quality pool pumps last between 8 and 15 years, depending on usage, maintenance, and water chemistry. If your pump is making unusual noises, leaking, losing prime, or increasing your energy bill, it may be time for repair or replacement. We diagnose pump issues honestly and will always recommend the most cost-effective solution, whether that's a simple repair or a new energy-efficient variable-speed pump.

Saltwater pools generate chlorine automatically, which often results in softer-feeling water and more consistent sanitation with less daily maintenance. We believe salt pools are the best fit for residential pools in our desert climate.

It's normal for a pool to lose a small amount of water through evaporation, especially during Southern Utah summers. However, if you're adding water frequently, notice wet areas around your pool or equipment, or see your water level dropping more than expected, you may have a leak. Canyon Edge Pools uses professional leak detection equipment to accurately locate leaks in plumbing, equipment, and pool structures, helping minimize unnecessary digging and repair costs. And customers on our normal service route always receive priority scheduling for leak detection and repairs.

For most residential pools, we recommend maintaining free chlorine between 2–4 ppm and a pH between 7.4 and 7.6 for optimal sanitation, swimmer comfort, and equipment protection. Proper water balance also includes maintaining total alkalinity, calcium hardness, stabilizer (CYA), and, for saltwater pools, the correct salt level. Our weekly service includes complete water testing and precise chemical adjustments to keep your pool properly balanced year-round.

Yes. We install, program, and troubleshoot pool automation systems that allow you to control your pumps, heaters, lights, water features, and other equipment from your smartphone or tablet. Whether you're upgrading an older system or installing automation for the first time, we can recommend the right solution to make pool ownership more convenient and energy efficient.

Absolutely. We provide dependable pool service for vacation rentals, Airbnb properties, second homes, and investment properties throughout Southern Utah. Our consistent maintenance, digital service reports, and proactive equipment inspections help ensure your pool is always clean, safe, and guest-ready while giving property owners peace of mind.

Yes. A professional pool inspection can uncover hidden issues that may not be apparent during a standard home inspection. We evaluate the pool structure, equipment, plumbing, circulation system, automation, and overall condition, then provide a detailed report of our findings. A pre-purchase inspection can help you avoid unexpected repairs and make a more informed buying decision.
